UN-HABITAT & ICCC Student Design Competition 2012 - Social Sustainability

I participated with a group of 4 other 5th-year architecture students in
the 2012 ICCC & UN-HABITAT Architecture Students Design Competition
// We received an “Honourable Mention” and were invited to present our
work at UN Headquarters in New York as part of Habitat day 2012.
Competition Challenge under the concept of Social Sustainability.
Developing solutions, which integrate older persons seamlessly into
the fabric of the community and include them in all social, cultural,
and productive activities.


Role in the Project:
• Researching and developing solutions to create an elderly friendly
environment.
• Designing the Neighbourhood Centre and one Functional Open
space module cluster.
• as a team, we all worked on everything together from pitching ideas, site selection, Concept formulation to setting the master plan.
